Glass (any color)
Glass jars, bottles & other glass containers
Rinse clean. Labels may be left on. Metal caps may be recycled with tin/steel cans.
No lightbulbs or fluorescent bulbs. No glass jars with candle remnants.
Plastic #2 Only
Look for the number in the recycling symbol on the bottom of the item
Rinse clean. Labels may be left on. Caps are OK.
No motor oil bottles. No pesticide containers.
Aluminum / Tin / Steel Cans
Soup, tuna, clean aluminum foil
Rinse clean. Labels may be left on.
No paint cans. No dirty cans.
Newspaper
Newspapers, phone books, etc.
Place loose in bin. Dry newspaper only.
Do not tie with string.
Mixed Paper
White copier paper, junk mail, cereal/pasta/cracker boxes, shoe boxes, egg containers, etc.
Place loose in bin. Clean & dry paper only.
No gift wrapping paper.
Magazines
All glossy magazines, inserts & catalogues
Place loose in bin. Dry magazines only.
No string or plastic wrapper.
Corrugated Cardboard
Corrugated cardboard
Please flatten boxes. Boxes should be clean & dry.
No wax-coated cardboard.
